Internal and External are not two familys. There is no most important part of a whole, and by dividing a whole in parts we forever exclude the possibility of stepping on the path of wisdom and self-perfection. It can be compared to standing in front of a pile of bricks trying to imagine what kind of house they made. Difficult isn’t it? Division of Internal and External does formally exist, but only within the limits of one tendency. Here the External work is aimed at developing the outer strength (Li), flexibility, coordination, stamina etc. Internal work is developing of effort (Jing) and all that, covered by Chinese meaning Neigong (inner work): developing strength of thought, spirit and mind, power of chi etc. But it is important to remember that one without the other is nothing. Ing and Yang don’t exist without one another – those are the basics. And if you want to achieve something worthwhile those cannot be neglected. |

Individual classes have qualitative difference from group ones, because the teaching instead of being averaged for everybody is based on your own abilities (physical and mental).
Because of deep submersion into the process of training you have much higher results. For this there are two preconditions without fail: first of all the lessons get costly, and second: I’m always hovering over you – you basically have no choice but to work.
Everything that is included in the traditional studies of Kung Fu is studied in the individual lessons, there are absolutely no trifles.
Practice shows, that individual lessons are more effective and people don’t tend to come back to the group. But even in this case it is important to remember the main secret of success in martial arts – it’s tedious training, everything else is an illusion. And you will have to do everything yourself, I will only show you “how” and watch carefully that everything’s done in the right order.
With all the positive sides of individual training there’s still one (as usual) main problem - there are only 24 hours in a day.
All the other questions can be discussed on the phone or when we meet. |

Terms of admission came to life not because we got ill with snobbism, but for better understanding.
We accept everybody who wishes to study martial arts seriously, aged between 16 and 100 years old (and older), the gender doesn’t matter. But remember, this is a school of martial arts, not a health group for those, who can’t be bothered to move.
This is why if you want to study “commercial Tzekungof great modern masters” our school is not the right place. Esoteric people should not be bothered either (with all kind of matrixes and so on), thinking that Tzekung is “magic meditative practice”, in which you don’t have to do anything, only wave your hands around a bit and acquire super “Chi”.
Nothing is going to “appear” unless you work hard, and channels and meditation should be forgotten for about next five years. Those, who consider Kung Fu a kind of fitness (for losing weight and so on), and those who think that Kung Fu can be learned in 12 easy lessons we kindly ask not to call as well.
It is hard, tedious and boring – it is definitely not for you. We are Kindly asking those who “study martial arts and collect all the most interesting like Bruce Lee” to stay home.
The way of Bruce Lee is hard, better read his book with attention. Do not contact us for broadening the horizons either, we are not a travelers club.
And the last thing, if you are extremely lazy and do not know what you want, but really would like to change it, we are waiting for you. Please try to outline your wishes and formulate them and we will try to find your way. Welcome. |

Martial Arts Made Simple. Moscow Times interview. |
|
Moscow Times, Autumn 2006 By Gregory Klemm. Photo by Vladimir Filonov. Valery Prosvirov, head instructor, Zolotoi Drakon
Discipline: Kung-Fu
How does kung-fu differ from other martial arts?
Traditional Chinese kung fu is a very complex martial art. There are throwing and hitting techniques, and pressure points and different types of self-regulation like breathing, health practices, and many methods of developing your body.
Why did you start learning kung-fu?
I loved fighting. I was 12 years old, and I loved to fight.
Have you ever had to use kung-fu in real life?
Yes, I have. In the Soviet Union, fighting was very common. No one went to the courts or to the police. If there were any misunderstandings, you settled them the old-fashioned way. But you shouldn’t look at kung-fu only as a way to fight. Using kung-fu is not just a way to defend yourself from troublemakers, it’s an effective way to find strength in yourself and to live in harmony with the world. |
