Sometime in the early July, I came home, as always troubled by shortness of breath. My general well-being was once again suggesting, yet again, a visit to the doctor. It was going to rain outside and the clouds began to cover the sky – needless to say, the weather matched my mood. I fell exhausted on a chair and thought: "I don’t want to live like this, I don’t want to die slowly ..." I realized that only I could save myself, that it was all about me, that I must start taking much better care of myself- thus began the story in which “Golden Dragon” School of Traditional Kung Fu played the main part.

I’ll begin by saying that currently I’m 40 years of age. I've pretty much has seen it all and has long since ceased to believe in fairy tales. If you have time and you wonder about your health, your life, then you’ll be interested in my story.

I’ll begin by describing the state in which I was in, about my health conditions, in short – there was no health:

Every year, the students of Golden Dragon visit China. School conducts retreats in the homeland of Kung Fu. This is not a simple visiting trip- seminars of Golden Dragon are exhausting and students exercise for 8 hours a day, starting at 5 am. Golden Dragon has contacts with lots of Chinese masters. When we meet with them we exchange experiences and often meetings with transform into exhibition matches which are covered by local television.

Traditional Chinese martial arts are divided into internal and external family. External direction for the Europeans is more understandable; it is that which we have come to know as martial arts- "punches and kicks, variations of technique, uneven rhythm. External styles can be considered the attacking techniques.

External direction – is an effective way of training the aerobic system, coordination, it is the best way to train strength, endurance, speed (of the musculoskeletal system, flexibility…). The direction has existed for more than 5000 years. The highest honor the master of Chinese martial arts could reach - was the title “Master of life” who was considered a man who could do just about everything.

School of Kung Fu Golden Dragon annually celebrates its birthday . For these celebrations instructors along with students prepare theatrical performances. They write, direct and also take part in the plays. The ceremony finishes by the traditional tea party, where in a relaxed atmosphere students can communicate with instructors and learn more about one another.
